JEWELLERY CARE
Whether you wear it every day or only on special occasions, each item of Anakao jewellery is a precious nugget of luxury that requires particular care and attention. The following advice will help maintain the beauty and condition of your jewellery over time.
- Take the time to handle your jewellery with care and attention.
- Remove your jewellery when applying lotions and perfume, and when washing your hands.
- Avoid contact with detergents, insecticides, ammonia, chlorine and any corrosive chemicals, particularly those containing mercury.
- Store your jewellery carefully and safely when you have to remove it.
- Avoid wearing your jewellery to the beach or swimming pool.
- Remove your jewellery when gardening or doing housework.
- Clean your jewellery regularly. If it contains brittle stones or numerous pavé set stones, then entrust the task to a jeweller. Otherwise, clean it with a soft brush in lukewarm soapy water, rinse it and then wipe it dry with a soft cloth.
- Keep an eye on any clasps and stone settings. If they begin to feel loose, take your jewellery to an authorised Anakao stockist for repair.
- Try to avoid sliding pendants along chains and wearing multiple rings on the same finger, as the friction can leave scratches and diminish the shine of your jewellery.
- When you’re not wearing necklaces, close the clasp of the chain and lay flat to avoid the formation of knots.
- Try to avoid contact with other jewellery and metal objects generally, and store your Anakao items individually in their Anakao cases.
